Gary Rhodes opens restaurant at Calabash Hotel
Good news for gourmets: guru chef Gary Rhodes, so far represented by three restaurants in the UK only, opened the doors to his new restaurant in Grenada. "Of all of them, this one is surely the one with the most beautiful setting", raves David Marshall, the star cook’s right-hand man.

No wonder: the new connoisseur’s temple is located in the elegant Calabash Hotel, offering a view on the palm beach and the blue waters of Prickly Bay.
David Marshal makes sure the quality of the offer matches up to Rhodes’ high standards: he worked on the cuisine and crew for one year to get everything in top shape and has modified local dishes to suit a demanding pallet. "After all, it’s a Grenadine restaurant with local dishes on the menu".
It’s no coincidence that of all hotels the Calabash was given the honor of accommodating the first Gary Rhodes restaurants overseas. "We liked the fact of it being a small, very exquisite family-run business that doesn’t belong to any of the huge hotel chains", reveals Marshal.
