Requirements:
• All drivers must be between 21 and 80 years and must have a valid driver's license for at least 2 years. Drivers from 75 years of age need a doctor’s certificate confirming that they are capable of driving.
• A Barbados driving permit is compulsory and may be purchased by a representative at a cost of US$ 5 (subject to 17.5% VAT) and is valid for two months.
• Additional driver will be charged per day, costs see below.

Corona Virus – Travelling safely and with Flexibility 
At this time when the news is dominated by Coronavirus, we wanted to let you know that we are vigilantly implementing enhanced protocols to ensure your safety.
 
We are closely monitoring the guidance of the World Health Organization and the Centers for Disease Control regarding the spread of the virus.  Our focus is to ensure we meet customer needs while doing our part to keep your clients, our employees, and our communities safe. 
Here’s what we’re doing:
• We enhanced the techniques used to clean our vehicles after each rental.  In particular, we are paying special attention to interior customer touchpoints such as seats, steering wheels, door handles and other hard surfaces.
• We are also cleaning our facilities frequently with recommended sanitizing products.
• In addition, we are taking steps to ensure the welfare of our employees.  This includes instructing employees who feel ill to stay home and consult their healthcare providers.   We are also urging all employees to be vigilant about frequent hand washing.

Important note:
In order for the car rental company to guarantee your delivery, you must forward your negative COVID-19 PCR test result to the car rental company after your quarantine period.

Additional services bookable in advance:
•  GPS per day $10 / £8.
•  For additional driver a charge of USD 3.90 per driver /per day is charged.
•  Child or Baby seat per day $10 / £8.
Information:
• Please note that the daily rate is consistent from the beginning of the booking, regardless of whether or not it runs into another time period.
• Stoutes Car Rental is located outside of the arrival hall at the Barbados airport. 
For Pick up; turn left and look for the booth reading „Stoutes Car Rental & “Drive-a-Matic“. (Employees usually wear orange shirts). Here customer has to complete paperwork and collect the vehicle. 
Delayed arrivals after 11:00 pm need to call the office (+1 246 416-4456) after 8 am the following day to reschedule delivery. 
For Drop off; when returning to the airport, the vehicle should be left in the main car park and the parking ticket (US$ 5,-) and the key returned to the airport office.    
• Vehicles are delivered with a full tank of petrol. Clients have two options:
• a) Return the tank full as delivered. If this is not done there will be refuelling and service charges at the end of the hire. 
• b) May opt to pay for a full tank on delivery, and may return the vehicle as empty as possible.
• Vehicle keys are NOT waterproof, the client will be fully responsible for the cost of replacement of lost or damaged keys and key fobs.
• 100% NON-SMOKING fleet, a cleaning fee up to US$ 120,-(subject to 17.5% VAT) may apply.
Insurance Information
• Insurance coverage
Vehicles are comprehensively insured, which includes third party liability and theft. If the vehicle is damaged the renter is responsible for the deductible of US$2.500,-. The basic insurance does not cover damages to tyres/rims and hub caps, windshields, interior damage and lost/ damaged keys/ fobs. Charges will apply for roadside assistance 
• Collision damage waiver (CDW) / Excess waiver (EW)
Additionally purchasable is the CDW or EW at a cost of US$ 12,- per day, this reduces the deductible to US$ 125,- if the vehicle is damaged. The CDW does not cover damages to tyres/rims and hub caps, windshields, interior damage and lost/ damaged keys/ fobs. Charges will apply for roadside assistance. 
• Super damage waiver (SDW)
Additionally purchasable is the SDW at a cost of US$ 25,- per day, with this coverage there is no deductible and full roadside assistance providing the vehicle is operated in accordance with all conditions of our contract.
• If the CDW/ EW and SDW are declined, a pre-authorization hold of US$ 1.000,- will be placed on the client's credit card, which will be released by the client's financial institution at the end of the hire. 
• All prices to be paid on spot are subject to 17.5% VAT.
