A birdwatcher’s paradise with a bird list of over 600 species; the lodge is the home of the late Diane McTurk, who enjoys international fame as a protector of giant otters. Several packs of these rare animals and enormous caimans and capybaras – which are pig-sized rodents, live in the close-by stretch of Rupununi River.
Location:in the southwestern savannah, 3 hours drive from Lethem.

Basis package includes:
• 1st day: flight to Lethem, then road transport to the lodge, crossing the rainforest and savannah. Late afternoon: boat safari on Rupununi River – a chance to see caimans and capybaras.
• 2nd day: in the morning boat safari to the honey ponds with its giant Amazon water lilies; in the evening expedition by boat to a tributary, where monkeys and numberless water birds exist.
• 3rd day: morning: at your disposal – Savannah trip to spot Giant Anteaters or exploring nearby ponds arrayed with local flora and fauna – road transport from the lodge to Lethem, return flight in the afternoon to Georgetown.
